One of the luxuries at that time was a radio, and AIR (All India Radio) was the only available station. I still remember walking miles at night to my relative’s house to watch World Cup football, since they were the only ones who had a television set.

When I started getting involved in Jesus Youth, one of the first tasks entrusted to me was to write invitation messages on postcards, which costs 15 Paisa (15% of One Rupee).  The messages were written on one side and the address on the other side including the PIN number (Postal Index Number). Even after decades, several of these PIN numbers are still fresh in my memory.
